When expectant Krissy contacted me about her idea for a pregnancy announcement photography shoot I was instantly on board. So I have an idea, she said…I want one of those peacock chairs, do you know what I’m taking about, she asked? Yes, yes I do!!! Well I’d like to take it to a beach and shoot sitting on the chair! Yes, yes, yes – I had visions conquering up already….we’ll put it in the water at sunset and it will be amazing, and a crown you must wear a crown! Together we planned and executed this beautiful maternity photography shoot…and we couldn’t of picked a more perfect sunset, low tide and still night to make it happen.

Like most couples they told me they felt a little awkward in front of the camera but that slowly subsided as I gave some small prompts and they settled into it. I do this with all my photography sessions but particularly my maternity photography sessions when there often aren’t children around to distract you from my camera and me. Soon enough the men are on board and you have some pretty loved up shots of you as a couple, a perfect way to celebrate your impending arrival but also you as a couple.
