Newborn photography sessions are such a beautiful way to capture the first days of life with your newborn – they paint a lovely picture of life as it is; in that time they arrived into your world. There is nothing more natural, warm and relaxed than an in home newborn photography session. The best bit is you just need to get yourself up and dressed and I’ll do the rest…in fact mummas; if you have nothing to wear, I can bring a dress for you from my client wardrobe!

Prior to a newborn photography session I ask clients to fill in a quick questionnaire – this gives me insight into who will be at your newborn photography session, your session expectations and any special request or images you’d like to capture.

Once I arrive at your home I’ll always ask for a quick tour, this allows me to assess the best areas for natural light in the house to capture moments…think nursery, master bedroom and living rooms. Remember, your house does not need to be perfect, because any home you live in now is the perfect way to capture your family, just as you are…

I’ll come prepared to your newborn photography session with everything we might need, here’s a little example of what you can expect:

• My camera, lens and memory cards for all the newborn photos!
• My bassinet and newborn posing beanbag – I’ll generally only use one so if you have a preference please let me know
• Outfits for your newborn baby
• Blankets and wraps
• Dresses for mum (if requested)
• Treats for siblings – bribery never hurts when it comes to getting some lovely family photos

We will then have a nice, relaxed 1.5-2 hour photography session which will allow time for baby changes, feeding and settling and all the other bits to ensure we capture everything – dogs, toddlers, grandparents and even baby baths!
