Its a common misconception (at least in my eyes) that sunny days produce the best conditions for your photography sessions. Truth be told, I love a stormy sky and this maternity session definitely didn’t fail to deliver. In all the honesty the weather on this particular day was pretty terrible, early in the day I’d advised that due to the always changing Melbourne weather that the session would need to be rescheduled. But this couple later contacted me and kindly asked that we at least try given their time constraints and their overwhelming want for capturing this special time before their little one arrived…I could see a break on the radar so off we went.
The wind was next level but it meant this normally busy spot was clear of all people. Luckily this gorgeous mum to be also had the most amazing hair that even with the gail force winds made for the most magical shots. Yes, we had to rush back and shelter in our cars mid session – but we went back, got more before the next wave of clouds (and hail) rolled in – session over!
Definitely a memorable session! Not something I’d proceed with normally but if I think we can make it work and my client is willing, why not!
